Updates and New Features:

• 26.2 Update: We will be updating VCMC to Minecraft version 26.2 shortly! An announcement will be made when the time comes.
  • As of writing, we are expecting the update to proceed as usual (no data losses or major changes).
• Spawn Shop Policy Enforcement: Shops must now be requested via Discord tickets or /mail to Al240/LiterallyFire in-game.
  
  • The shop rules have been moved to this page (see Spawn Shop tab).
• Staff and Builder Apps: VCMC staff applications are now OPEN! You can either apply to be a moderator or builder at the top of the website.
  • Must be at least 15 years of age (moderator) or 13 years of age (builder) to apply. An account needs to be registered on the website as well.
  • A working microphone and Discord account are required.
  • More requirements are found at the top of each application.

Removed:

• Chunks unmodified since February 1, 2026, will be purged during the next End reset (7/30).
  • We will continue removing chunks older than (unmodified for) 6 months/180 days to save disk space.

• Anti-Lag Measures: I have adjusted some mob limits/thresholds to suit our new network bandwidth.

  • Remember to maintain your shop regularly. You must restock it at least once every 3-4 days.
• Ticket System: We have updated our Discord ticket system to increase accessibility and clarity.
  • Opening a ticket now requires you to fill out a basic information form. This helps our staff better identify your issues or concerns.
  • Do NOT request a spawn shop in a support ticket! Please use /mail send (either Al240 or LiterallyFire) to make any requests. DMing us on Discord may not guarantee a response (I don't check message requests often).
  • Remember that the appeal waiting time is now 30 days if you have at least 3 rejected appeals for your current punishment.

• The player weather (/pweather) feature for Netherite-ranked players is still being debugged. Therefore, it will remain unavailable until further notice.

Changelog 89: A New VCMC

Updates and New Features:

• NEW INTERNET: We are FINALLY able to announce that VCMC now runs on an actual Fiber network. Thank you for putting up with our terrible internet for over 3 and a half years. As a result of this move, a few things will be changing:
  • All AFK restrictions announced earlier in June have been lifted. Only the regular macro and Anti-AFK rules apply.
  • Mob/Spawner/Entity thresholds will be re-evaluated over the next month to take advantage of the extra bandwidth. Keep in mind that we still have to balance farming efficiency with both network AND hardware constraints.
  • Auto-kicks for AFK now occur at a higher threshold (50 players, previously 30).
• Al240 Summer Event: This year's event will be held on Saturday, June 20! Time is still TBD, but expect it to be sometime between 8-11:30pm UTC.
  • An extra modpack may be required to join the event. Check Discord #announcements for more information in the coming days.

VCMC 6th Anniversary Event!

We will be hosting our 6th anniversary event on March 28, 2026, at 1:30pm server time (CDT). The main event may start within 1 hour of that time. To join, you must download the modpack to be provided later this week (version: Fabric 1.21.5, see Discord announcement). An event warp NPC will be placed at spawn when the time comes.
