Changelog 87: A Few More Summer Updates

Updates and New Features:

• VC Mod: Simple Voice Chat has been updated to version 2.6.1. Many client/server-side improvements were made, making it incompatible with old versions of the mod. To continue using proximity voice chat, please update your mod via CurseForge/Modrinth/whatever modloader you use by the end of today.
• NISK TRADE: Reworked certain trades at the spawn shop to align with the new Nisk (1 Nisk = 18 diamonds).
  • Prices at custom head shops (South of spawn) have been reduced AGAIN by up to 25%. Some heads are now as cheap as 2 Nisk!
  • Maximum spawn littering fines have been increased from 16 to 24 Nisk.
• Spawn Shops: Since many shopowners requested more villager space, I've doubled the page count to 10! This means that you will be able to fit 90 unique items per villager, provided that you have enough chest space or a special restock pattern to make use of it.
• Builder applications are still open! We need a few things built around spawn so I'm looking for a few more temporary builders. 
  • Base Requirements: Must be at least 14* years of age at the time of application, have a working microphone, and have a livechat-linked Discord account.
  • Recommended to have experience with WorldEdit and/or WorldPainter
  • Have at least 3 builds you've done in the past on hand. You will need to showcase them.
• In case it isn't clear, AutoReconnect is not allowed on this server. If we find that you are afk'ing and auto-reconnecting at a laggy region (especially when the server itself is laggy), you may face consequences ranging from a spawn teleport to a short jail/playtime adjustment.
• Small fix to the mob clearing process. Certain mobs weren't being excluded properly, leading to excessive clearing.
• Ranks: Starting later this month, I will be rolling out 2026 donation rank prices.
• Beginning September 1, 2025, new players will be greeted with a guidelines dialog (that they must read and accept before playing). Once again, this is to ensure that there will be NO tolerance for not reading the rules or clarifying with staff.

Removed:

• The new player welcome hologram (below spawn) was removed (see above).
• Discord: #general image permissions have been removed again for all but Netherite players and above.
  • We have a #media channel for that.
• Chunks unmodified since March 1, 2025, were purged after the previous End reset (8/30).
  • We will continue removing chunks older than (unmodified for) 6 months/180 days to save disk space. This has previously only applied to Overworld chunks, but storage concerns have forced us to include the Nether as well.
