Changelog 85: Summer Update

Updates and New Features:

• VCMC Summer Event: I will be hosting it either on June 22nd or 29th depending on my availability. Expect the time to be around 11am-2pm PDT (UTC-7).
• Server updated to 1.21.5 as of May. While it is recommended that you play either with the latest version or 1.21.4, you may still use 1.21.1/2/3.
• We brought back the Dragon Egg Drop plugin! For those of you who may not remember, this plugin allows the Ender Dragon to drop an egg on every respawn. This egg will be accompanied by a cool little animation!
• NEW rank textures! Tonight, I will switch out the official server resource pack with a redesigned one! We've been using the same textures for over 2 years, so I thought it was time for a change.
  • Ranks modified: Owner, Admin, Netherite, Diamond
  • VCMC Pack 2.0 Credits: Al240, DaniTheGranny
• Spawn shops now come with new requirements (ones that I will strictly enforce). See the rulebook under the big tree (right next to the dock/map) for more info.
• Fixed a small issue with claim blocks not increasing.
  • Some people may still experience slow/inconsistent claim block rates, but the overall number gained will still be what it should be.
• Builder applications are still OPEN!
  • Builder Requirements: Must be at least 14 years of age at the time of application, must have a working microphone, must have a linked Discord account.
    • Recommended to have experience with WorldEdit and/or WorldPainter
    • Have at least 3 builds you've done in the past on hand. You will need to showcase them.
  Automatic lag reduction system: player threshold raised from 30 players to 35 players.
• Due to certain issues, the server move has been delayed to an unknown date in the future.

Removed:

• Chunks unmodified since December 31, 2024, will be purged after the next End reset (6/30).
  • We will continue removing chunks older than (unmodified for) 6 months/180 days to save disk space.
