Changelog 78: Another Shop Update + Plugin Fixes!

Updates and New Features:

  • SHOPS: To reflect the current amount of Nisk in circulation, we have decided to adjust prices at the spawn shop (again). 
  • Voice Chat plugin (Simple Voice Chat) has been updated to version 2.5.12. Please download the latest version here or here to continue using proximity VC.
  • Permanent Netherite was added back after disappearing from the store for a few weeks.
  • Combat log dolphin is back!
    • Please report any bugs with the NPC. If you take advantage of them without reporting (i.e. bugging into bases, duping items, etc.), you will be punished accordingly.
  • 1.20.5 Update: At this time, we are not updating the server version to 1.20.5. Please allow at least 2-3 weeks for plugins to update before we reconsider.
    • We will allow 1.20.5 clients to join the server very soon!
  • You will now respawn instantly upon death. This fix was applied to patch the 10s respawn protection bypass.
  • Anticheat checks were reworked to reduce false flags (mostly from lag).
  • Mob spawning rates were adjusted slightly due to the recent spawner per chunk increase (4 -> 6).

 

Removed:

  • Iron and gold trade into Nisk were removed due to inflation calculations.
    • You can still trade Nisk for those minerals
    • Gold removal may be temporary. I am still doing calculations to work out the rates.
  • With a new plugin, you will no longer be restricted to the default 40 levels for enchants! Feel free to rename that maxed sword for 69 levels or whatever.
    • This was not working for a few weeks but I fixed it
  • Chunks unmodified since October 30, 2023, will be purged during the End reset next week.
    • We will continue removing chunks older than (unmodified for) 6 months/180 days to save disk space.

Changelog 77: Shop Update + New Plugins!

Updates and New Features:

  • We are working on fixing the Dragon Egg plugin.
    • The old plugin worked up until 1.20.1, and the original author discontinued it.
  • SHOPS: To reflect the current amount of Nisk in circulation, we have decided to adjust prices at the spawn shop. 
    • No changes have been made to the exchange rates.
    • Music Discs: Come get your limited edition copy of TJ-Freshy's "Baby" cover! Each disc and its accompanying book (you can have TJ-Freshy sign it w/ a message!) are sold at the Music Shop for 32 diamond blocks (Nisk). Only 50 copies are available for sale.
  • Voice Chat plugin (Simple Voice Chat) has been updated to version 2.5.7. Please download the latest version here or here to continue using proximity VC.
    • More emojis will be added soon!
  • We are still accepting and reading staff applications, so head over to https://voicechatmc.net/apply-staff/ to apply!
    • Must be at least 15 years of age by the time you apply. Years are counted from 12:00AM of your birth date.
    • Must have a working microphone, as well as a Discord account (main mode of communication for staff).
    • Highly Recommended: At least 6 weeks on VoiceChatMC.
  • Updated rules to clarify a couple points (mainly EasyPlace and Printer in Litematica).
  • 4th Anniversary Event: Rescheduled to March 29th, same time. Details on the minigames and prizes are in #announcements on Discord!
    • Join for free Nisks, tools, armor, and even permanent ranks!
    • Building competition will be open until March 25th!
  • STORE SALE ends at 12:00AM on March 28th. Head on over to our store page for cheap ranks (cosmetics) and glows!

 

Removed:

  • Certain items (redstone torch, tripwire hook, and ender pearls) have been removed from the shop.

Changelog 76: End Dimension Revamp!

Updates and New Features:

  • END DIMENSION HAS BEEN UPDATED! We are now using the NullScape End datapack for additional biomes/loot in the End!
    • Regular end cities and their loot remain unchanged, so you can still explore those.
  • Rentable player shop stands have been REOPENED at spawn! Check them out behind the regular shop (North Exit, go toward the dock)
    • I might add extra stands on the docks depending on the availability of current stands.
  • Changed Admin and Mod rank tags in the resource pack. Also modified glow to make it look better.
    • More emojis will be added soon!
  • We are still accepting and reading staff applications, so head over to https://voicechatmc.net/apply-staff/ to apply!
    • Must be at least 15 years of age by the time you apply. Years are counted from 12:00AM of your birth date.
    • Must have a working microphone, as well as a Discord account (main mode of communication for staff).

  • Claim shovel from /kit Claim now includes lore with basic usage instructions.

Changelog 75: Shop Stands Reopened!

Updates and New Features:

  • Rentable player shop stands have been REOPENED at spawn! Check them out behind the regular shop (North Exit, go toward the dock)
    • Instructions on how to obtain/rent a stand are found in the book by the tree.
    • Added a periodic announcement to promote player stands.
  • 1.20.4 Update: Regarding the update, players have reported chat/lagback issues joining on 1.20.1/2. This will not be fixed for the time being, and we recommend using the latest version to avoid such problems.
    • As always, do not abuse any bugs! Report possible abuse if you see/know about it.
  • Voter Rewards: Special rewards have been added for each milestone!
    • Rewards are obtained once at 250, 500, 1000, 2000, 5000, and 10000 votes.
    • Find out what they are by doing /vote and voting :D
  • We have resumed reading and replying to staff applications! Apps are still open, so head over to https://voicechatmc.net/apply-staff/ to apply!
    • Must be at least 15 years of age by the time you apply. Years are counted from 12:00AM of your birth date.
    • Must have a working microphone, as well as a Discord account (main mode of communication for staff).
    • Highly Recommended: At least 6 weeks on VoiceChatMC
  • Spawn exit holograms (North/South/East/West) have been updated to reflect changes since March 2023.
  • New players now automatically receive the Starter Kit.
  • Added new Sr. Mod tag to the resource pack.
  • Remember, the next chunk purge will occur on March 1st, 10pm server time (along with the End reset)! We will continue removing chunks older than (unmodified for) 6 months/180 days to save disk space.

 

Removed:

  • The combat plugin is back, but combatlog entity has been temporarily disabled due to a few bugs on 1.20.4.
    • For the time being, you will instantly die upon combat log!

Changelog 74: Updates Over the Past 3 Weeks

Updates and New Features:

  • We apologize for the extended periods of downtime this past month. :( These issues stem from several causes, including faulty network equipment and plugins, and we have taken multiple steps to minimize this over the weekend. While the server is currently up and running, we are still in the testing phase. Therefore, maximum performance is not guaranteed and you may still experience periodic lag spikes. Thank you for your understanding.
    • AntiVPN plugin has been updated to increase sensitivity. Remember, VPNs/proxies and generated alternate accounts (i.e. EasyMC) are NOT allowed on the server, and you may be banned and/or blacklisted from the server if we suspect abuse with them!
  • 1.20.4 Update: Earlier today, the server was updated to MC 1.20.4. You may still join with 1.19.4+, but keep in mind that 1.19.4 support will be deprecated very soon.
    • As a result of the update, plugins were checked, updated, and optimized.
  • Ranks (Netherite Subscribers): Please check #supporter on our Discord regarding your subscription extension.

 

Removed:

  • The combat plugin has been temporarily disabled due to a few issues with lag on 1.20.4. For the time being, you will instantly die upon combat log! 
    • Expect the plugin to return within the next week or so.
  • Redundant and/or unused plugins have been removed to improve performance. No one is really affected by this tho
